Now that we are at the beginning of a fresh new year it is a good time to look at what is coming in this upcoming year. There are a lot of tv shows and movies that I am super excited about that will be coming out next year. Then there are some things that I am hoping will come out next year. With all of the drama in the world it is great to have things that we can escape in to or a little bit of time.
TV Shows
There are so many tv shows coming out next year that looks amazing and most of them are on Netflix. Not only do we have the continuation of some amazing shows, but they have new ones coming out as well. Obviously Marvel is continuing its run with Defenders and Iron Fist, which with everything that I have heard so far should be amazing. Then we are getting season 2 of Voltron and Stranger Things, which I am so excited for because both of those shows ended with a bit of a cliffhanger. Then finally Netflix has at least a couple of new shows coming out including Lemony Snicket and Trollhunters. I mean one has Neil Patrick Harris and the other is Guillermo Del Toro so that feels like a win/win situation.
For cable TV the only thing I am looking forward to at this point is the new Inhuman show. If they do it well we could be getting Black Bolt and Maximus the Mad, two amazing characters. I can see where they could get there with where Agent’s of SHIELD is currently, so it will be interesting to see how they end up getting there.
Movies
Besides TV Shows there are quite a few movies coming out next year. I mean there is Guardians, Thor, Wonder Woman, Spider-man, and Justice League coming out with movies next year. Besides that we also have Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets which is based on a comic and visually looks amazing. Then after the success of the Lego Movie they decided to do a Lego Batman movie, which might end up being one of the best Batman movies ever made. I personally have loved the comic book movies and I don’t care what anyone else says.
Things I Am Hoping Get Released
So the most likely one to get released next year is Mass Effect Andromeda, but there is no official release date yet and so that could always change. The other video game that I would like to see come out next year is Kingdom Hearts III, but that almost feels like a pipe dream at this point.
There are two books that I need to see released soon and if they came out next year I would be so excited; The Winds of Winter and Doors of Stone. Both of these are the next books in a series that I have been waiting for and honestly I don’t know which one I want more at this point.
So next year is another exciting year of new and fun things to help transport us to new worlds and experiences. Hopefully the real world of 2017 is better than 2016, but if not we have other things to look forward to.
